Making The Bed-Box Better

The Bed-Box is a platform on which I added an air mattress, a yoga mat, a moving blanket for padding against the rough texture of the press-board pieces, a light-duty sleeping bag as a base, and another as covers. I bought the pillow previously.

To the basic frame, pictured prior, I added an oak veneer TV/AV cabinet drawer section I custom fit and hung with the drawer rails and fittings, and a front side storage compartment.

The slats pictured on the previous page had not yet been cut and added.

I moved the original handles to the upper end-frame to use as pulls to make removing the Bed-Box Unit from the Aerostar easier when not in use.

I placed the other, more modern-looking handles shown on the drawers. there is a faux porcelain knob on the front side door to the auxiliary storage bin.

In the storage compartment is a long plastic snap-lid container I use for clothing and related.

In the rear oak-veneer drawers are the old Coleman Stove, matches, utensils, silverware, dishware, etc.

Next post: curtains and other decorative bits.
